Auto-posting to a Telegram channel
Publish videos, images and text posts to your Telegram channel on a schedule through your own bot. The bot can also answer comments in the discussion group.
What you can publish
- Videos, images, GIFs and text posts
- Images go as photos, GIFs as animations
- Auto-replies and spam hiding in comments
- Notifications about published posts in a private chat
How to connect
- Create a bot in @BotFather with /newbot and copy the token.
- Add the bot to your channel as an admin allowed to post messages.
- In Accounts press Telegram and paste the token and the channel address.
Questions
Why my own bot?
Posts come from your bot, you can switch it off at any time, and no outsider gets rights in your channel.
Can I post to a group?
Yes, if the bot is in the group and allowed to send messages.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes: the dashboard accepts files up to 100 MB, and Telegram accepts videos up to 50 MB from bots. Compress long videos before uploading.
